The Balloon Effect

We live in challenging times. We all experience emotions in our lives, it is part of our make up. What differs is how each and everyone deals with it. We can learn to understand it or we can choose to carry it with us negatively every day or we can choose to free ourselves from it. The choice is yours. This workshop is not for the faint of heart but for the brave. Anyone who desires a better understanding of emotional awareness.

 This one day workshop is designed to provide a platform where the participant is guided to explore their feelings and emotions through the use of art in a non-invasive environment. To give a well balanced workshop I have structured the projects for left brain orientated people which means they use words to describe their feelings or emotions and right brain oriented people which means they express themselves easier in a creative manner. This will ensure optimal stimulation in order for the best results. 

The projects are designed in such a way that it confronts the participant on a conscious and subconscious level. The proces will guide the physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological journey of discovery. Self awareness can contribute to the changing of thoughts, rituals, patterns, or behaviour of the participant. Ultimately leading to a better understanding and handling of their feelings or emotions. Thus new insight will assist towards a more equipt and better day-to-day function in general, not only in the workplace but at home and in public as well.

The aim of these exercises is to assist you in recognizing the problem areas and dealing with the roots causing emotional pain and or discomfort in your life. It can help to clarify behaviours or thought patterns. At the end you decide how much freedom you want to experience through this proses.

Overview

The workshop will explore the following:
    • Basic discussion explaining how our feelings and emotions work, how it influence our behaviour and personalities
    • The physical and physiological influence of our emotions in every day life
    • A practical exercise to help the participant explore their feelings and emotions
    • A brief discussion based on each participants project.
    • A summary with tools that provides a better understanding of what emotions means and how it can serve us better.
    • A closing ceremony of a symbolic letting go activity.
